TASTE PROFILE

Gingerbread, cashew nuts and liquorice are followed by cloves and oak leaf. Then the world of leather enters the scene: old leather like a Chesterfield armchair and a horse saddle.

The liquorice we had on the nose returns, but more specifically the liquorice stick. Notes of tobacco and cigar box are clear, lusciously coated with ripe quince. We then move on to woody essences such as sandalwood and cedar.

Power and complexity come together in this finish, where the wood tannins, though discreet, are long and persistent. A delicate rancio brings a remarkable tasting to a close.
