Distilled in 2009 on Scotland’s Orkney Islands, this 14-year-old single malt was selected by Berry Bros. & Rudd as part of the Coast & Shores release. The whisky comes from an unnamed Orkney distillery, adding a touch of mystery to its island character.
This expression matured in Hogshead Cask #3 before being bottled in 2024 at a natural cask strength of 60.2% ABV. With only 137 bottles released, it is a rare single cask bottling that captures the maritime charm and gentle peat influence of Orkney.
On the nose, lemon balm meets gentle Orcadian peat, airy vanilla cake and a fresh coastal breeze.
The palate is sweet and comforting, with layers of runny honey, soft vanilla and a subtle maritime freshness.
The finish is long and nostalgic, with notes of vanilla ice cream, crispy cone and delicate island peat.
