Blair Athol lies just south of Pitlochry, nestled in the picturesque Vale of Athol in Perthshire, often described as the "Gateway to the Highlands." Known for its rich, nutty, and malty character, Blair Athol is equally admired for the green veil of ivy that drapes the distillery's historic walls and dramatically changes color as the seasons change.

TASTE PROFILE

This Blair Athol gracefully embraces the Margaux cask, elevating the distillery's savory malt character to new heights. The nose is delightfully rich, unfolding with layers of buttery caramel biscuits and lush, dark hedgerow berries—ripe blackcurrants taking center stage. A splash of water yields an orchard harvest of juicy apples, ripe pears, and a hint of orange peel. The palate reveals a luxurious texture, silky and sweet, interweaving robust maltiness with vibrant fruit notes. The finish fades gently into comforting echoes of malt, crisp green apple, and a delicate herbal note.
