BERRY BROS & RUDD SC Bl.Athol'13 Od. Pom

THE PROCESS

Blair Athol lies just south of Pitlochry, nestled in the picturesque Vale of Athol in Perthshire, often described as the "Gateway to the Highlands." Known for its rich, nutty, and malty character, Blair Athol is equally admired for the green veil of ivy that covers the distillery's historic walls and dramatically changes color as the seasons change.

TASTE PROFILE

The nose opens with fragrant notes of stewed apples, ripe raspberries, and plums, supported by a swirl of baking spices and a hint of rose petals. On the palate, the flavor is rich and layered, with blackcurrant and cherry liqueur mingling with plums and a velvety crème brûlée. The influence of the Pomerol cask imparts a vinous character, balanced by a hint of orange peel that brightens the profile. The finish is medium to long, gently fading on mulled wine spices, dried cranberries, and a soft, earthy touch of damp wood.
