BERRY BROS & RUDD Dailuaine 2010 #307769

THE PROCESS

Dailuaine Distillery began production in 1852. In 1889, it became the first distillery to introduce a pagoda roof on its malting kiln. This revolutionary design vastly assisted the drying of barley and has become an iconic architectural feature.

TASTE PROFILE

Aromas of grassy, light green fruits are predominate on the nose, followed closely by tell-tale signs of thick, sherry wood, prunes, dates and spiced oak.
The palate is rich and full, balancing effortlessly between distillate orchard fruits and heavier sherry notes. Spice rolls through the finish building in intensity.
Dailuaine’s heavy spirit is made for sherry cask maturation and this hefty Oloroso hogshead has embraced the challenge beautifully.
