THE PROCESS

The strawberry first grew in the wild in America, Asia and the mountainous areas of Western Europe during the Neolithic period. The French word for strawberry, 'fraise', comes from the Latin "Fragaria" (fragrance). It is used by the Romans for aesthetic purposes, for its pleasant smell and for its therapeutic qualities. The wild strawberry is a variety of strawberry, smaller than the common strawberry and with a more powerful fragrance. Giffard Crème de fraise des bois et fraise brings the liveliness and acidity of the fruit to your cocktails.

Scent:
Very intense and fruity scent, slightly acidic freshness of the fruit.

Taste:
Acidulous taste bringing freshness and vivacity. The aromas evolve from the typical “green” taste of wild strawberries to the very ripe fruit taste characteristic of jam and marmalades.

HOW TO DRINK:

For aperitif with a dry white, rosé or sparkling wine.
In cocktails.
