Distilled on the coast of Hiroshima, where sea air meets mountain winds, this Japanese single malt begins its maturation in carefully selected casks in Japan. After its initial ageing, the whisky is finished in ex-Islay whisky casks, introducing a distinctive layer of coastal smoke and depth to its refined character.
This release is a Single Cask, exclusively selected and bottled for Craft Spirits. Each bottle comes from one individual cask, preserving the unique profile shaped by its specific maturation journey. The result is a precise and elegant whisky with a subtle yet expressive smoky influence.
On the nose, elegant notes of vanilla and honey are lifted by iodine and unmistakable Islay-style smoke.
On the palate, a medium-oily texture carries maritime notes of brine and salt, balanced by subtle hints of raspberry and citrus.
The finish is medium-length, warm and lingering, with a harmonious interplay of smoke and gentle sweetness.
