Named after Robert Napier, the pioneering engineer widely regarded as the “Father of Clyde Shipbuilding”, this Lowland single malt pays tribute to the spirit of innovation that once defined the River Clyde. From his shipyard in nearby Govan, Napier helped shape the reputation of “Clydebuilt” engineering across the world, guided by his famous mantra: quality, quality, quality.
Produced at The Clydeside Distillery, located just opposite Napier’s original shipyard, this release reflects that same dedication to craftsmanship. Distilled using water from Loch Katrine and 100% Scottish barley, Napier is matured for over six years in Oloroso sherry casks, allowing the spirit to develop a rich and characterful Lowland style.
Bottled at 46%, natural in colour and non-chill filtered, Napier honours the legacy of one of Glasgow’s greatest innovators, capturing the enduring character of the Clyde in a refined and distinctive single malt.
